Our Product Range
All the products for sale on OutOfAfrica.ie are imported from a variety of African countries and are handmade by artisans using sustainably sourced and harvested, and occasionally repurposed or upcycled, materials. As such, being hand-crafted, our products have a degree of variability in their finish that mass produced products do not have. No two products will ever be exactly the same. All products listed on the site have the materials used in their making clearly listed.
Stock Levels
Because we get much of our stock directly from the makers in Africa, supply can be very variable. Sometimes this is due to local conditions caused by roads being washed away by flooding, for example, and sometimes due to more general problems such as making payment transactions in local currencies, or problems with cross border transport, or even holdups at the Irish border involving Irish customs. For this reason out stock levels are often very low. When adding products to your shopping cart it is possible that two people will add the same product at roughly the same time even if there is only one of that particular product available. However, if this happens, only the first person to checkout will be charged for the product.
Terms of Payment
We use Stripe.com (https://www.stripe.com) for secure online payments by credit and debit cards. Payment is taken at the time the order is placed online.
